Hartford: Ready For Change
“Hartford: Ready For Change”
Positive Impact S+E, a New Jersey-based sports and entertainment consulting firm, along with Stafford Sports and SCI architects conducted a study on options for the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut. The scope of services involved a market study, event projections, architectural options for a new or transformed arena and other factors to assist the Capital Region Development Authority (CRDA) in determining how best to position and maximize the XL Center in the future.
The XL Center is the home of the University of Connecticut Huskies and the Hartford Wolf Pack (AHL). In 2014 the XL Center began a renovation project, designed to “stretch” an additional 8-10 years out of the building.
About the CRDA: The Capital Region Development Authority’s mission is to stimulate economic development and new investment in and around Hartford, develop and redevelop property to attract and retain businesses, rebrand and promote the district as an exciting, multicultural destination for all ages to enjoy, and expand housing development as a way to enhance the economic and cultural vitality of the area
